who else finds this completely hilarious? |
for someone to know that you are being yourself; when you first met them, did you introduce yourself as the person in the mask, or the person behind the mask? because if you were the person in the mask, then they'll always say that you are not genuine. if you introduced yourself as the person behind the mask, then the person who knows you will truly know when you are being genuine, and when you are not. ~ Meena (me)
in order to be fully genuine, you must be someone who uses their own creativity in their own way and stays unique. be different to be different; to be you. ~ Meena (me)

alright. so what's with the legos? my mom always said that legos were a really good toy, because you don't have to make exactly what the instruction manual says. you can use all of the pieces to make something unique, different; using your creativity.
so i guess the pictures are proving a point along with just showing what i did today. it's proving my point of staying genuine.
everyone has been writing about being genuine, and i like to think that i started it. i actually do believe i started it. i think i started it by writing the just so we're clear, i'm being genuine, world. post. then it passed on. well, one thing i pointed out in that post was that, being genuine also goes to what you post. if someone posts a genuine post, then another person does it... lemme ask this. how is that being genuine if you're posting the exact same thing?
be YOU! post what you want to post! and when you want to post it. don't be like-- oh yeah! i wanted to post that. lemme go post it now. can you tell me what the following word spells: P-L-A-G-I-A-R-I-S-M. may not seem like it, but it is.
so be like the legos. don't be what the standard is for blogging. be something completely opposite. then, it'll get around that your being genuine. and then others will want to be genuine, too.

p.s. who else liked the divergent butterknife? lol. :P
I like your take on being genuine. I myself am getting a little tired of everyone all trying to be different at the same time and ending up looking pretty much the same; typing in all small caps, all trying to be photographers, trying to come up extremely 'inspirational' posts: it gets tiring after a while (I shouldn't rant here, I going to be working on a post about it for my blog anyway.) Anyway, I've been blog hopping and I landed on your blog and I enjoyed your post! :) Keep up the good work!
