Verse of the Day. Part of, 7 Days- 7 Weeks!

Alright, so, I'm starting a verse of the day for 7 weeks. So, if my calculations are correct, that's 49 days! Enjoy! So, take this button! Spread God's word around, it'll help!

So, here's the verse!

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen.
For what is seen, is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal!
                           2 Corinthians 4:18, NIV Version
So, what I think Paul is saying, basicly what the verse says! So, think of it this way,
  • Think of someone on the Earth. They're not on the Earth forever.
  • God is on the earth forever! Wait. Scratch that!  ...is on the earth forever Well, he's stays in the heavens forever I guess is a better way to explain this!
Now, think for a moment. Temporary, how does that go with God. I mean, we are eternal! So, wouldn't that mean everything is eternal?!

Well, technically no. Remember, not everyone is a christian. So, not all things will be the eternal things Paul is talking about! So, let's look at the dictionary entry of temporary, and eternal. (Off of  Dictionary.com

tem·po·rar·y

[tem-puh-rer-ee] Show IPA adjective, noun, plural tem·po·rar·ies.
adjective
1.
lasting, existing, serving, or effective for a time only; not permanent: a temporary need; a temporary job.

Think synonyms right now. Okay, not forever.

e·ter·nal

[ih-tur-nl] Show IPA
adjective
1.
without beginning or end; lasting forever; always existing ( opposed to temporary): eternal life.

Think synonyms. Forever-lasting

Okay, compare time! Forever to not Forever! So, technically, you (yes you darling!) will live eternally. Now, people who go to hell, will not live eternally. And Satan wouldn't either! Now, go to your bible, and read Revelation 20:7-10. Now, I will write it down. So, here it is.

Satan's Doom

When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth- Gog and Magog- to gather them for battle. In number they are like sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's People, the city he loves. But fire came down from the heaven and devoured them. And Satan, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever!
                             -Revelation 20:7-10
Now, as you can see, in the passage, it is written in past form. Which I think is so cool to me! Because, technically, our present, and our future is a memory to God right now! So, right now, God's probably thinking, 'I remember when Meena finished up her first verse of the day post and got a few comments' Which, I haven't finished it right now. But, hopefully you liked this post, and this idea! Now, let's end in a prayer!
"Dear Father In Heaven,
We thank-you for this day, and everything you've given us throughout our life. Thank-you for everything that has happened, that's happening right now, and that will happen. We thank-you for helping us through huge struggles in life, and will bless us until we perish and go to heaven. Thank-you for giving us someone to look to. And in Jesus' name we pray,
                                                                       Amen"
Alright, that's it! please remember to take the button!
