be yourself

thanks to Jessica she's encouraged me more to be myself, instead of copying other people's stuff and adding a small twist to it. so, i'm going to start something. i'm going to start units. every week, i'll write a post on what the unit theme is. so, i'm going to write it today. well, the theme is,

Be yourself, because everyone else is taken

Be yourself.. because everyone else is taken
{source}

so, the unit will last four weeks. and see, the header is based off of the theme. so, the first part i'm going to talk about being yourself.

why i need this
i need to be myself because, i think since he/she has so many followers because he/she does this or that, that means i'll get a lot of followers, well, that's what i think. but that is not the case! no, i need to be myself to have a great blog, but, how do i become myself?

how do i become myself?
well, first, i need to ask myself, what blogs do i copy and how? so, i'd write a list out. i'm not going to write out this list in public but, i will write it down. so, i've got it. now, i need to ask myself these questions:
  1. what do i copy on these blogs?
  2. in order to stop copying, will i need to un-follow the blogs
now, to me, for a few blogs, the answer to the second question is yes sadly. but, also, i need to answer the question for myself, if i stop following certain blogs, will i not or barely look at the blog? for a couple blogs, the answer would be a quivering yes, so, mainly a no because i like the blog so much.

what tools should be in my toolbox?

this part is asking me, what do i need to be myself, what tools or virtues?

well, i'd need my self-control, definitely. why would i need it? because my self-control will help me make the right decisions in my promise. what other tool will i need? my patience, probably. why my patience though? because i will need my patience to get on that blog in a few weeks.

i think that's all the tools i'll need? what do you think? do you think i've got enough tools? actually, i don't think so, i think i'll need individuality so i can me without any help from other people's virtues.

individuality

what is individuality? what's your definition? well, the dictionary says that individuality is the particular character, or aggregate of qualities, that distinguishes one person or thing from others; sole and personal nature. but my definition is this:

you need to be yourself because God didn't make you like your best friend. that wasn't His intentions. His intentions were to make different. so, be different, the way God wants you to be.

now, i didn't follow these steps. i didn't want to. i wanted to be like everyone else with there 200 followers! but no, i can't, because that's called plagiarism. so, i will try to be an individual.

find your creativity

what's my creative spot? what am i creative at? well, i can draw goofy pictures and make jewelry. but, my favorite type of creativity, is paint splatters! i'm a succer for paint splatters, like the following,
{source}

see, all of these paint splatter, all of them all over the internet, they speak to me. because they're different. and different is what i want to be.

run away

Found via Google, click here for source

every minute you're thinking, you're stressed out. you need a break. some reflection time. you need to run away from the world. get out and have some silence. you should treasure every moment of peace and quiet you have. even if it's reading a book or listening to your favorite singer, you need some alone time. and it needs to be quiet. it needs to be just you, whether it's in your room or outside, you need to be alone with God.

so, it's time to run away now. pack up your stuff and run. here's what you'll need:
  • your bible
  • a notebook
  • a pen or pencil
  • a book
  • a portable radio and cd or an IPod or MP3

Found via Google click here for source

now, go into your room or outside and set up a little space where you can just be free. now, first of all, you should start out with a prayer. say this,
Dear God,  Thank-You for everything. Please help me with my spiritual reflection time and peace. Amen

Found via  Google click here for source

now, turn to your favorite bible story. if you're like me you turn to Esther immediately. so, first, ask yourself, what would you do in the situation where you need to trust God and calm down? if i were Esther, i'd be screaming my head off thinking that my own husband was going to kill everyone i love. good thing she stood up though. i don't think i'd be able to do that.

Found via Google click here for source

now it's time to take your notebook and pen or pencil out. now think for a second, why did you come to this place of peace and spiritual reflection. my reason would be either, i've been fighting with my little sis or my mom or dad just hasn't been understanding and was yelling at me. so, write down why you came to this peaceful stop. now, read your statement over and over again and think, WWJD? what would Jesus do? so, what would he do if he were in the exact same situation? he would probably ask God to forgive him and, if you did wrong to you brother, sister, mother or father, ask for forgiveness.

Found via Google click here for source

now, take out your IPod, CD player or MP3 player. turn on your favorite song. find the message behind the music. i'd probably listen Take My Hand by Lindsay McCaul. now, find the message behind the song. what's it telling you? for me, it's telling me to trust God, while pleading for forgiveness. now, grab your notebook and pen and write in what the message is saying. now find out if it's a good message or a bad message and write down why it is good or bad.

Found via Google click here for source

take a book out. doesn't matter what book, just take a book out. and peacefully, read it for as long as you like. isn't this peaceful? sometimes it's good to get away from the world. especially, if you're not doing anything to harm it or harm God's word.

now, how long did that take? not very long right? unless you read for a few hours, then that might've taken a while. i tried to steer it towards a 25-minute project. now, it's time to stay peaceful. for as long as you can. so, just try, it might be easy!

One Million Questions A Bible Devotional

Have you ever thought, God, how could you have been in the world forever? You would've have to have just come into the universe! Well, I think God makes our lives a huge question. And that question is, "Do you like pizza?" No,no, I'm kidding. Our life, is made up of questions. So think, what is the main question, the only important question, you will be asked by an elder, or your father and God? Well, that answer is,
_________ do you believe that Jesus died to take away your sins?
And hopefully, if you've ever been asked that, you said, I do, or yes. Now, I know, your supposed to say, I do but, I got baptized pretty young, so I said plainly Yes Daddy.

Anyway, every one of us has asked a million questions through our lives. So, that means we've asked probably, at least 85% of those questions we asked some how related to God. So, guys, I am sadly, done with this post. But, to make you feel better, I will be starting a new book (yes, I'm writing a book, but it's not very this-blog appropriate) about God, containing devotionals and everything! So stay tuned!

Dreams A Devotional

Dreams. They are made by God. God makes your dreams. You see, all of your dreams lead up to God's plan for you. You know God has a plan for you, and someday it'll turn out. Also, when you think of dreams, you should think of natural gifts or talents. Now, think, what's your talent? Mine, would be singing, God wouldn't have given me my voice if it wasn't part of his plan. Now, stare at the next picture for a minute or two.

This is what people may call a dream catcher. Now, dream catchers normally catch your nightmares and not your good dreams. If you would use it to catch your good dreams, maybe you could bundle up all of those good dreams and try to figure God's plan for you. Now, I have been guessing forever, so, maybe it won't work! But, it would be a good investigation! Anyway, think, maybe you should be a teacher if your a good babysitter. Guess your dream! Try to figure it out! Think of five Different things you might be and put it in a blog post, and leave the link below! Sorry, this was a short devotional! But here goes!
  1. A Singer
  2. A Teacher
  3. An Author
  4. A Youth Minister
  5. An Actress
Your turn!

Faith & Trust: A Bible Devotional

    Read Proverbs 3: 5-6

Remember this verse and try to follow it,

"Trust in the Lord, our God, with all your heart and lean not onto your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"
Now, what Solomon is saying, is that if you believe in the Lord and Jesus Christ, and you will trust them for all your days, you will have a good life and go to heaven someday.
Now right now, think about your relationship with the Lord, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Now think of the cross. Do you know what? Think, of each board on the cross. Their is only 2 right? Well think of the cross as your relationship with God. You're one board. And God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are the other board. And, if your relationship with them broke, so would the cross. Because, you can't be alone as just one board. without another board, your life won't go on as well as if you were a cross. You can't spell us, comparing to your relationship with God, without U! And don't think I pulled all this out of my head! Okay, a little bit. But, it mostly came from my Preacher at church, who said, "Think of the cross as your relationship with God." I do think that's what the cross means.

Songs would go great with this. Like, a song about Cartoon's singing praise by Chris Rice called, The Cartoon Song. Now, do you people know what it's like to live in heaven? I heard it's better than you can imagine! But, do you know what down their is like? I don't want to know. But, you can get pretty close by listening to They Don't Serve Breakfast In Hell! by Newsboys.

Now lets talk about Trust. You need to follow the same verse. Proverbs 3: 5-6. You also need to follow Deuteronomy 6:5, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind. " This is a good verse to study when you are in a bad mood or are struggling through something. Also, if you don't want to study the Bible, you can listen to some songs. Such as, No Matter What by Kerrie Roberts. Also, if you need to get stronger to face your fears, listen to Stronger by Mandisa.

I know sometimes it doesn't feel like this, but God is their for you when you get frustrated. God can always help you. Like, for me. A lot of my relatives have passed away since I was little. So, one night I was asking God how they were all like! It made me feel a lot better. So, always talk to God. It also will help if you talk to your parents or a friend or a relative and see if they've been through the same thing! Trust me! You'll feel a lot better once you do. And, if anyone's in pain that you know, talk to them and pray with them, and pray for them! Trust Me! You won't regret it! Also, it'll help if you listen to Hold Me by Jamie Grace. Also if you need something to get you moving, listen to Move by MercyMe. You can listen to a lot of christian Music like, The Generous Mr. Lovewell by MercyMe. Also, Just Another Birthday by Casting Crowns. Also, Shackles on my Feet by Mandisa! Thank-You for doing this Devotional!

Freedom & Decisions: A Bible Devotional, And A FREE GIVEAWAY!!

Freedom. What's the Definition of Freedom? What are a couple words that pop in your mind when you hear the word freedom. When I think of freedom, I think of choices or decisions. Freedom leads to choices. Also, freedom can lead to actions. And choices, and actions have one thing in common, they can result in consepuences, or rewards.

Now, turn to Matthew 26:1-35 and read it. It's about the passover, and Jesus says, "Once the rooster crows, you would have denied me 3 times." What Peter did was a very bad choice. Now, close your eyes. Imagine you're Peter. Jesus just told you, you would deny him. And you deny saying you'd never do that. What thoughts go through your mind when you think about that moment? Here's what I'm thinking.
    • Peter just denied him then, although that doesn't count for those three times, it's still denying the Lord.
    • Why didn't Peter just believe Jesus? Because, he's the Lord!
    • Did Peter even care what Jesus said to him, because he knew it wasn't true.
    • Did Peter remember, Jesus knows everything!
Those questions, can all be answered easily, but, it'd take time.

    Real Life Matthew 26:1-35-

Bethany, your sister, just got home, and calls her friend. You just keep doing your homework. Then tommorow, she comes home, with a big, fat 0 on her homework pages. Your parents ask, "What happened Bethany? Last night at dinner, you said you finished your homework! But you obviously didn't!" then, Bethany replies "The Dumb Teacher mistook my homework for a stupid boy in my class named Dylan." Then your parents point to the delicately written name on the page. Give Bethany some advice, in your notebook!

    Beautiful: A Devotional

I see girls wear a bunch of make-up Now, I know God wants us to stay our natural selves. He purposely made us this way! He purposely made me with golden hair, glasses, and always-chapped lips! Even if you don't like what you look like and try to change it, that's your loss! Because, the way we look is part of God's plan for us! Now, if we try to get blemish off our skin by using natural products to treat it, it's different!

    Try to Find It!

The next morning, take a shower, brush your hair, and teeth, and all that stuff! Just DO NOT apply make-up, or curl, or straighten your hair! Instead, put on,

    • chapstick instead of lipstick or lipgloss
    • add water to the tip of your eyelashes instead of mascara
    • put coconut cream or coconut oil on your face
    • put on a light-scented lotion, instead of putting on perfume

Now take a picture of what you look like with all natural stuff on.  Now, the day after that, put on your make-up. Now look in the mirror. Also, take the picture, you took the other day. Now ask the yourself the following questions.

Do I look better natural, or product coated?

Does God like me better natural, or product coated? Product Coated

What's better natural than product coated?

What should I look like when I go to church?

Most of the answers should've been natural, especially number 2. But, let's read on.

    Nature's Best

We need our skin especially clean all the time. Because, our skin shows what we're like on the inside! If you wear a bunch of make-up it shows you don't appreciate what God gave you! If all you wear is natural stuff, that doesn't do any harm to your natural beauty, it shows you love what God gave you to show off to the world! Now, I'm not saying go brag to your friends, "Look! I have golden hair because God loved me more than, you, so he made me more beautiful!" Because, God made each of us equal, so don't think you're better than someone because you have the perfect skin tone. Now, take this small little quiz, and add up you're score in you're journal, then, write down your result number, and what it means.

    Quiz-                                                                   Totally!    Maybe        No!

Do you love what God made you like?                  1                2                3

Do you wear make-up to look pretty?                   3                2                 1

Do people tell you, you look ugly, then
you ignore them, and stay your natural self?        1               2                  3

3-5 points- you are incredibly natural! You're pure! Congratulations! You passed this quiz! You got an A-B great job! Now, please go to 1 Timothy 4:1-5

6-7 points- you are kinda in the middle. You don't always wear make-up, and you're not always natural. But, you are in satisfactory mode. Which is great right now. Try to get a little higher though. But, at least you go a B- to a C- and not a D or an F!

8-9 points- you think the only way to be beautiful is to where tons, and tons, of make-up! But, let me tell ya something sister! You'll be beautiful no matter what! Oh! And you're grade, a D or an F! Sorry, would you like to retake the test later?

Now here are some bible verses/ passages I'd like you to look at, at least twice a week for two months.

    Psalm 104:15
    Matthew 26:6-13
    Exodus 11-15
    Mark 7:3-4
    Exodus 34:29-30
    Matthew 17:2
    Isaiah 60:1

Now, in order to be as beautiful as can be, remember these!

    • Shower daily
    • Wash your face twice a day
    • Put on chapstick

Alright, that's the end of this post! If you liked it, please share this on facebook, or tweet it on twitter! Also, please follow or suscribe to this blog to here more! Thanks!

    - Meena Peace!

    Anger: A Step-by-Step Process

Write now, I'm really angry because my sister is being mean to me! I wish I could just, be an only child! But, it's to late! That's why I'm writing this. Because, Anger is a Step-by-Step Process. Anger, also can lead to parents. And, my parents only believe my sister because she's younger. So, I always get in trouble! So, I'm writing this for other people who are angry.

    When does anger become sin?

Write now do a Bible Reading of, Genesis 4:1-16
Key Bible Verse: Genesis 4:6- Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?"

    1.  Uncontrolled anger will lead to sin

    Next read Genesis 27: 1-41
Key Bible Verse: Esau held a grudge against Jacob because of the blessings his father had given him. He said to himself, "The day of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob."

        2. Anger is often the result of bad decisions
    • If others conspire against you and suceed, anger is the first and most natural reaction. But you can control your feelings by (1) recognizing your reaction for what it is; (2) praying for strength; and (3) asking God for help to see the opportunities that even your bad situation may provide.

      3. Anger's choice tool is the tongue

Normally, when you're really mad you'll cuss! Now, it's very bad! And, another, better way, is to pray to God. Because, when you get angry, the common thing is to get mad at God. And when you get mad at God, he gets mad! And that means, here comes the rain! So next time pray to God! And also, look through Proverbs if you need a little wisdom! Remember, God's always their for you!

    The First Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Ho-Ho-ho! But, Christmas isn't about the Ho-ho-ho man! Christmas isn't about getting! It's about giving! So, give someone something! But, we also need to learn the true meaning of Christmas! So, here is a reading of Matthew 1:18-25.

'This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about:His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins" All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet. "The virgin will call him Immanuel" which means, "God with us" When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.'

I'd like to say what you'll need when you read these blog posts.
    • A Journal
    • A pen or pencil
    • A Bible
I'd also like to tell you, when I write devotionals, when my writing is in green, that's when you write that part in your Journal. Also, it's very important you read other Christian Blogs like Diary of a Beautiful Soul. It's a blog great tool!
