everyone else

i can't believe it's time to do another post for the unit! wowzers! it's been a week already? well, i better get started.

Be yourself.. because everyone else is taken
//source//

this is our theme for this four-week unit. last week's post was on being yourself. that was the first step in this whole process. i want to take baby steps with this study. and remember, i'm doing this, because, i truly need it.  so, let's start shall we?

be yourself- rap up

so, lemme just rap up what we talked about last week, okay? alright.
  • you need to find creativity in blogging
  • you need to remember your tools while you're fixing the problem- self-control, patience and individuality
  • do whatever it takes to be yourself.
sound good? alright, lemme start writing about this week's topic.

everyone else- what you're doing

you're making a comparison. this is not what God wants us to do. He wants us to be fair and treat others equally and think of everyone the way you think of yourself- a regular person who makes mistakes and is not perfect but it amazing in His eyes. so, what's the comparison you're using? followers, age, friends? the list can go on and on. but the main ones are:

  • followers- you compare between followers. if you have a hundred and someone has a thousand then you think of yourself as a loser, which isn't true.
  • friends- you compare between friends and their blogs. if their friends has more followers than them and you, then you also think of yourself as a loser, which again is not true.

those reasons are what i compare myself to someone else. everyone i follow has at least two times the amount of followers i have. this is a sin. and i shouldn't be doing this.

my toolbox- what i should use and how

so, take a look at your toolbox, what's in there. what do you need? first of all, i need self-control. why? because i need to control myself through this. this is a main cause of my anger issues and drama- my comparisons. it's something i shouldn't be doing, and when i do it, i just put myself down and place a lot of stress on my back. next, i need my faith. why? i need faith in God to know that he will always be there to help me through my struggles along this pathway. it's not all roses i'm stepping on. it's the thorns too. and i need to sweep those thorns out of my way and keep following the petals. if you're struggling with this step, u need to go read this post written by the lovely Jessica

look at the inspiration

so, right now, i've got a little thing made for you- just for you- to look at, maybe take and place on your blog, it's a little thing i made, just to keep you going. i'll explain it in a minute.

this size is 300 x 415. so, just take it, it'll help.

this is supposed to be funny- i did that so it'll catch your attention- and it's supposed to be meaningful. It has a great message behind it. so, there's one guy, right, and he's blue with green, circular eyes and a pink mustache.- who doesn't love mustaches?-  and there's another guy, and he's pink with black, triangular eyes and a blue mustache. now the only thing really the same is that they both have the same colors. but they're both different. and everyone is different! so, think of yourself as the blue guy, and your friend as the pink guy, the main thing you have in common is that, you're a person, a person that makes mistakes.

p.s. no copyright on this post! well, you have to credit this post
